Traffic diverted around Connaught Place from 8 am, says Delhi Police
Delhi Traffic Police said in an advisory issued on X that traffic will be regulated and diverted around Connaught Place, Patel Chowk, Parliament Street, Ashoka Road and Jantar Mantar Road from 8 am on Tuesday (October 6). Commuters were told to expect barricading, congestion and delays, avoid unnecessary travel and prefer the Metro. The advisory does not name the event behind the special arrangements. More than 3,000 personnel, including 27 male and 4 female companies, were deployed in New Delhi district. Opposition lawmakers plan to march to the Election Commission the same day.
