Gold prices decline; 24-carat 10 grams at Rs 1,49,020
Gold prices eased further during the festive season. According to rates recorded on Tuesday morning, 10 grams of 24-carat gold fell Rs 160 and 22-carat gold Rs 150. In the international market, gold slipped to USD 4,121 an ounce. In Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai, 24-carat stood at Rs 1,49,020 and 22-carat at Rs 1,36,600; Delhi quoted Rs 1,49,170 and Rs 1,36,750. Silver held steady at Rs 2,45,000 a kg in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Chennai, and Rs 2,35,000 in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. These are opening rates only.
