Thailand flood death toll rises to 31, more rain forecast
Thailand's flood death toll since September 16 has risen to 31, authorities said on Monday, with more than 3.5 million people affected nationwide, according to the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation. Flooding has hit eight provinces, with four deaths in Bangkok, which was declared a disaster-affected zone. Schools stayed shut for a second day and airport travel was disrupted. Local media said Thai Airways dismissed CEO Chai Eamsiril over flood-linked delays.
