BJP veteran Tathagata Roy flags anguish over Trinamool entrants in Rajya Sabha
BJP veteran and former Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy said there is considerable anguish among party workers in West Bengal over the nomination of former Trinamool Congress leaders to the Rajya Sabha. In a social media post, he said Sukhendu Shekhar Ray, Koel Mallick, Prakash Chik Baraik and Susmita Dev were preferred over long-time BJP workers. Former Trinamool MP Rukmini Mallick alias Koel Mallick joined the BJP on Monday and filed her nomination. Polls for 12 Rajya Sabha seats are on October 16.
