NIA files chargesheet against two in Bhubaneswar blast case
The National Investigation Agency has filed a chargesheet against two accused in the Bhubaneswar bomb blast case before the Special NIA Court under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Explosive Substances Act and Explosives Act. The accused are Sanu alias Rohan Ranjan Rout and Amiya Ranjan Mallik. The blast occurred on January 27, 2026 at about 2.30 pm in New Azadnagar, Sundarpada, under Airfield Police Station limits, while four persons were allegedly preparing bombs. All four suffered severe burns; accused Shahnawaz Malik alias Mufi and his mother died. The probe continues.
