Chandigarh court blocks AI videos targeting Congress politician
A Chandigarh court has restrained three Facebook pages from circulating AI-generated videos targeting Punjab Congress politician Amandeep Kumar. Civil Judge Kuldeep Singh passed an ex parte interim injunction on October 5 against the pages Thanedar Uncle, Kachi Laan and Batale Di Rajneeti, ordering their suspension until the next hearing on October 22. The court said the content went beyond healthy public criticism and may adversely affect the health of democracy. Kumar said the videos drew about 178,000, 180,000 and 47,800 views.
