Bhupender Yadav hands over India's first PRAMAAN certificates
Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav on Tuesday handed over India's first PRAMAAN certificates under the Indian Forest and Wood Certification Scheme (IFWCS) in New Delhi. They went to the Andhra Pradesh Forest Development Corporation for plantations spread over 33,000 hectares, and to Govind Mohapatra, a bamboo farmer associated with the Odisha Bamboo Development Agency. IIFM Bhopal, the scheme's operating agency launched in December 2023, organised the event. The Minister said certification rests on independent third-party audits.
