Mahalakshmi scheme: 35.65 crore women journeys in three months
TGSRTC data show 35.65 crore women passenger journeys under Telangana's Mahalakshmi free travel scheme in July, August and September this year, against 34.68 crore in the same period of 2025. The difference works out to 97.20 lakh, or about 0.97 crore, additional journeys. Citing rising demand, the corporation said it has added buses and trips on busy routes in Khammam, Karimnagar, Nalgonda and routes linking districts with Hyderabad. VC and MD Y. Nagireddy said more special services are planned for the festive season.
