BJP government completes 150 days in West Bengal amid mixed record
The BJP won 207 of 294 Assembly seats on May 4 and formed its first government in West Bengal, with Suvendu Adhikari sworn in as Chief Minister on May 9. In 150 days, the government cites Annapurna Yojana paying about 1.5 crore women Rs 3,000 a month, a promise of one lakh government jobs and large investment proposals. Criticism persists over delayed payments, political violence and TMC defections.
